You can invite users to your community under the "Members" section in "Invitations". Searching for other CaltechDATA users can be difficult due to the default privacy restrictions. For a user to be added to a community they must:

1. Fill out the username and full name fields at https://data.caltech.edu/account/settings/profile/, and then click "Save profile". In the next section set "Profile visibility" to "Public" and click "Update preferences".

or

2. Set email visibility to "Public" at https://data.caltech.edu/account/settings/profile/. Note that this isn't really public, it's only visible to folks with a Caltech login. Click "Update preferences" after making this change.
