Q. Does the Library provide translation services for materials in other languages besides English?

The Caltech Library has research librarians on staff who can help verify citations to research or academic materials in some non-English languages. Please get in touch with us at our virtual reference desk and we'll be happy to look at the citation(s) you are interested in!

We also maintain a guide highlighting reliable sources of translated scientific materials.

We do not, however, offer services to translate foreign language materials into English.

To find a qualified translator, we recommend consulting the directory maintained by the American Translators Association.
