Yes, the library has topographic maps (7.5 and 15-minute) only for the following states: California, Arizona, and Nevada.  They can be checked out or scanned/copied using the large-scale printer and scanner (also in the Map Room).

To check out a topographic map, you will see a small filing box on the lower right corner of the large table. There are orange index cards there, please fill out the required information asked for on the orange index card.  Simply place the orange card right next to where there is an empty spot in the small filing box.

The Map Room collection is located just outside the Geology Library on the second floor of N. Mudd, Room 207.

If you are a member of the GPS Division, your division master key will allow you full access to the Map Room 24/7. For users that are from other divisions, please contact Tony Diaz at tonyd AT to make arrangements to use the Map Room.
