The Caltech Library extends borrowing privileges beyond the Caltech community on a selective basis.
According to our borrowing privileges, immediate family members (spouses/domestic partners and children 15 years of age or older) of current Caltech faculty, postdocs, and staff may apply for a family library card and can borrow books for up to 4 weeks (maximum number of 5 books). Minor children must be accompanied by their Caltech family member at all times.
These borrowers may access Sherman Fairchild Library from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday only.
