If a book that you're interested in borrowing is checked out by someone else, you may recall it. We'll ask that it be returned and then place it on hold for you.

To recall a book, you'll need to place a hold on it in our catalog. If you're looking at a search results page, you'll want to click the Request link:

If you're a borrower who doesn't have an access.caltech account, please call the library at 626-395-3405 or contact us at library.caltech.edu/contact.
