Once logged into Canvas (https://caltech.instructure.com):

Click on the Courses book Icon (on the left hand side of the screen):

Select the course you would like to add reserve materials to.

Under your home tab click on Course Reserves.
- Click Add Reserve Items.
- Click what type of item you would like placed on course reserves and/or purchased by your students.

At the top of each request you will be asked to indicate whether the item is required for purchase by your students. The default is always set to No. If you select Yes, the item will be added to the online bookstore as well as placed on reserves through the library.

Make sure you fill out all the sections marked with an asterisk (*).

Click Submit Item at the bottom of the page once you’ve completed your request.
