The Caltech Library offers a campus delivery service to its faculty and staff. Graduate students and postdocs may also be eligible for this service, provided they have an office address on campus. Undergraduate students are not eligible for this service.
The Library Campus Delivery Service can delivery Caltech Library books, and interlibrary loan materials. However, we cannot delivery the following items through this service:
- Non-circulating items (e.g. reference books)
- Electronic devices such as laptops
- In-Library Use Only interlibrary loan books (designated by the lending library)
- Course reserves
You can register for the service here. Once registered and the delivery location is confirmed, your requested material will automatically be delivered to the indicated location. Delivery can take up to one business day once the item is retrieved from our collection or arrives from another library. Prior to delivering the requested material, the item will be checked out to your library account.
Caltech books should be returned to any of the libraries or one of our book drops around campus. DocuServe (interlibrary loan) books should be returned directly to the Sherman Fairchild Library circulation desk.
