Q. What should I do if I can't find a book on the shelf but the catalog says it's there?

If you can’t find the book you’re looking for, you can ask the Circulation Desk on the first floor of Sherman Fairchild Library (SFL) for help.

Or you can place a request for the book and we’ll look for it. If we find it, we’ll notify you when it’s ready to be picked up.

If we can’t find the book, we’ll notify you and try to get a replacement copy (via purchasing or interlibrary loan).
