We highly recommend configuring your Google Scholar settings so that you can see Caltech Library links when you perform a search in Google Scholar.

To add "Get It @ Caltech" to Google Scholar:

1. Sign into (or create) your Google account and navigate to Google Scholar Settings.

  • From Google Scholar, click to expand the menu in the top left corner of the screen and select "Settings."

2. Select "Library links" and search for "California Institute of Technology."

3. Check the box next to "California Institute of Technology - Get It @ Caltech" and then click "Save."

4. Next, from the left menu, select Account and check the box "Signed-in off-campus access links" and then click "Save."

5. You should now see "Get It @ Caltech" on the right hand side of your search results.

Off-campus access or Google CASA is a somewhat new service from Google that records your institutional subscriptions or entitlements so that you can access them off campus. Please see Google Scholar's Search Tips for more information.
